#1
I know Ill probably regret this...but Im thinking about going to Causey tomorrow morning for a few hours..[pirate]I've never done very well at Causey but I figure ill give it a shot. If that sucks then ill probably hit PV on the way back down. If anyone wants to tag along let me know. Im also open to other suggestions but I need to stick close to the Ogden area.

Yeah I'll give it my best shot. In past trips up there I was always shore fishing. This wil be my first time floating it. Maybe that will help.

Causey has always been rough for me from shore too. Ice fishing is a different story though! There are definitely some nice fish in there if you can find them.

That and ice fishing you can access any part of the lake you want. I caught everything pretty much in the middle but everything we caught was about 40 feet down or more. I'm not sure where they are in the summer. You have that fish finder though so that should help!

Very true... If anything the change of scenery will be nice. Looking forward to fishing a lake with no wakeboarders or jetskis.

Right on.. Well hopefully it goes good. Considering that it's close to home id like to start going there more often. So id really like to figure that place out.

are you on BFT very regularly, like will you be checking for like the next 3 hours or so? I might call off the south slope and try rockport for smallies from my toon, would that be something you would be down for?

again this is all tentative, I need to get a hold of someone to see if he is going tomorrow or not
I think we all learn something each trip till finally you think "Why was this so hard".[Smile]
or on some trips:
"Why IS this so hard"

been on situations, locations, patterns that worked before, to revisit and get skanked. But with enough switchup, can turn sour to sweet.
Managed to prove that today at Mantua. Where sometimes - smaller is better, and a targetted presentation can bring in the big ones when surrounded by schools of imps.

Sometimes ya gotta piss off a bass to get a good hookset! At least this time of year.

Causey has Kokes too, right?
