Marina Institute Announces October Study Tour
#1
Warren, RI-The International Marina Institute® (IMI), a training subsidiary of the Association of Marina Industries (AMI), will visit nine facilities during its 7th annual Southeast Florida Marina and Boatyard Study Tour October 29-30, 2013. The tour, based this year at the B Ocean Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, occurs immediately after the closing of IMI's 10th Drystack Conference, scheduled for October 27-28, 2013.

This year's tour will stop at several Fort Lauderdale facilities, including Sunrise Harbor Marina, The Port, Bradford Marine, and Lauderdale Marine Center. Participants will also visit Aquamarina Hidden Harbour in Pompano Beach, New Port Cove Marine Center in Riviera Beach, Rybovich in West Palm Beach, Palm Harbor in West Palm Beach, and Palm Beach Docks in West Palm Beach.

The Study Tour is a two-day mobile training course that takes participants on exclusive tours of marinas and boatyards to provide an in-depth look at the operations of different types of facilities in South Florida. At the end of each day, attendees participate in a facilitated roundtable discussion and SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis of each marina.

"This year's diverse schedule offers participants a look into small and large marinas, yards, and facilities with both dry storage and in-water slips," the tour's host Brad St. Coeur, CMM, says. "The variety creates a well-rounded course that appeals to all marina industry professionals."
