Bear river?

So going from pocy to logan this weekend for a family event and thinking about trying to catch some water time on the drive. Never fished any of the waters in the area and was thinking about hitting up the bear. Problem is i dont know access sites, reports, flies, or anything about the river. Not looking to make too big of a detour from the travel route but if its on the way would like to wet my fly. Any one have any advise on where and any reports on how its fishing?

Flinging flys your best bet would be on the river below onieda dam. Not much trout fishing down further than that.and pretty slim pickings for access much further. Ive never fly fished there but have tossed lots of spinners with fair success. Its a little detour from the main rout to Logan but not much different to other sights.
