I have that same rod! I love it! A glass and graphite mix. I also bought the 7/8 weight. Want to feel a carp on that one LOL
I took mine to the Uinta's. roll cast so easy. Think Little Dell too.

I Believe that one in the pic is a cgr? The cgt is orangish brown. It says its T glass is that part graphite? Ya I just castes it in the yard and really like how it feels[Smile] I also like the cork reel seat.

I too have a Cabela's cgr (green) 6' 6" 3wt. Very nice stream rod. I also recommend checking your reel seat now and then. Dropped my reel in a stream. I got it back, but got a little wet doing it. [laugh]

The problem with the reel-seat was because I didn't check that it was still tight after I had done some brush beating through the willows. Of course when it dropped it immediately washed into a nice deep hole. I could have pulled it up by pulling all the line and backing out, but that was sure to get tangled down the stream. So I opted to work it as close as I could and then was able to hook it on my net, but I had to reach with about half of me leaning in the water. The air was blue around me, but my, it was Refreshing!! [laugh] [laugh]

The line I am using is a SA weight forward floating 3wt. I like how the rod casts, but I have only used it on small streams with short casts. It is a fun rod. I ought to try it on some bluegills too.
