Heading up to Diamond Fork tomorrow with the girlfriend to show her the ropes. What flies should we be using? I'm thinking PMD's, PT, stones, sows, scuds and Rainbow Warriors.

Hopper stimulator or elk hair on top. Pt or Cj for the dropper is what I'd do.

So how'd you do ? Been thinking of heading up there.

I did alright. No takers on top all on nymphing. Caught two browns and lost 5 others one being about 17". Caught the two on a rubberleg copper john and a silver lightning bug nymph. I also seen a cutthroat chillin in the shallows he was probably 15".

Yeah when people fish only dries you can expect to catch 1/20th the fish on Diamond Fork than nymphs. The exception is all stone/ salmon fly hatches and when they're keying in on hoppers. That drainage takes forever for the fish to nail hoppers. Usually not until August.
Big prince nymphs (size 8-12) work 24/7 365 days a year on that stream. Really don't need to take any other fly along if you only care about the catching.

I was using a size 8 prince when I lost that brown and the others wish I had size 10 that might have done it.
