Family reunion at CJ Strike - need help
#1
I have a family reunion the 8th-10th at Cj Strike and I have never fished it before but do fish bass quite a bit.
I will be bringing my bass boat so can fish various places on the lake. I really would appreciate your help on directing me to some spots to focus on to find fish.

Also where you would recommend to launch and if you know if they lock a gate as I am presuming that this time of year first light would be a good bet...so wanna be on the water about 5:30am.

Please me or email Dustin@freemydollars.com "words of wisdom" on where to focus and if you are willing to share baits or techniques that is appreciated too as I have never fished it and want to help get my brother in law on his first smallies and maybe a some largemouth.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!

I was at CJ a few weeks ago it is one of my favorite spots in the state for fishing. I landed a few 4-5lb smallies in about 15-20ft of water hanging out with the perch. caught a few largemouth in the 5lb range along the tullies that line the rocky points also coves in the early mourning then they will move to deeper water when the sun comes up. Also there are no gates for locking at CJ. I highly recommend putting in at cottonwood campground they have protected docks when you want to go back to camp but don't want to put in and out every time. Hope this helps also if you cant find the bass look for 30ft of water in the middle of the brueneu arm res and use perch and you can slaughter the perch. GOOD LUCK[fishin]

goose assasin you are the man with 4s and 5s.i will share my fishing report with you bigguy. strike is on fire. topwater is on fire the 1st and last 2 hours of the day. we probably caught 300 in the evening and morning.no joke. i recommend not fishing the bruneau unless you are perch fishing or hog hunting for bass. you can stay below the dam or across the river on the west side and have trees for shade and launch at air force or black sands..

I'm jealous, went to CJ yesterday and right on about the bass. We caught them until we got tired but only a few big ones. Must have been fishing in the nursery but a tug on the line is better than just sitting there. We went perch fishing in the after noon lots of them and some really nice ones. Bruneau res like the man said about 30ft.
Have a great time there its a nice place.
