Ideas needed
#1
Ok I got a great deal on an outcast wheel assembly. Now I need some ideas on how to attach the mounting bracket to my toon. My toon is a Leigh not an outcast so some jury riggin will be involved. Pics of the bracket and toon attached.

Sorry bud, you pictures are very blurry and hard to tell metal from painted PVC. I would definitely attach this to metal though.

Sorry I retook some of another frame, maybe these will help. I would love to attach it to metal. Trying to figure out how. I might need to make a new bracket to attach it to. I do have a piece of 1/8" x 1 1/2" aluminum that I can use. The last pic is the aluminum and mounting bracket.

You have the same set up as that Echo I had from Venture Outdoors, but then again Carol did take Leigh over before it went under.
Yea, you have no frame where needed to be frame. Sorry I am at a loss, but you will figure it out, I know you will.[Wink]

Thanks! An idea is starting to form looking at this piece of aluminum. I think it needs to be thicker than 1/8" so that it won't bend under the stress of all the weight of the boat on it. I can drill a hole on each end then attach it to the foot rest attachment under the seat with a couple of bolts then attach the wheel assembly. I just hope there won't be too much drag associated with that kind of set up while moving through the water.[cool]

Awe heck, just turn the motor to #2 LOL. I think it will be minimal. I like that idea though.

Looks like I need to goto metal super mart in salt lake for a piece of thick aluminum. Lowes only has 1/8" x 2" as its biggest piece. I need 1/4" x3" or 1/2" x 3" I think for the strength.
