Well, me and UtahLakeCats headed back down to Lindon this morning with the tubes, hoping for a repeat or improvement from last weekend. It wasn't the case for the most part.
We got on the water shortly after 6:00 a.m., it was actually a bit chilly early. It was super choppy til about 9:00 or so. We started the bait drag down to the bubble up, and had no luck on the way there. One we got there it was probably 30 minutes until I had one on. It felt really big, I fought it for a good 5 or more minutes but it got off just before I could get a look at it. It was probably another hour or so before I actually landed my first cat of the day.

I trolled around all over the bubble up, but it just wasn't the same as last weekend. I think the thunderstorms Thursday/Friday threw the cats into a funk, and they hadn't recovered yet. Another hour or so later I hooked up with another decent sized cat.

About 10:00 I headed over to the actual bubbling and threw a jig for a few minutes and hooked onto a decent sized whitie.

11:00 or so, we started heading back to the harbor, depressed.
After about 20 yards on the way back I hooked onto something big again, I was determined to not lose this one. It hit my bait like I was trolling for trout, just BAM and my reel started screamin'. I've learned not to get my hopes up when I think I have a big cat on, because It usually ends up being a carp, but not this time. Once I saw it's tail thrash I knew it was a big ol' kitty.

I finally hit the 30 inch mark.[
] I also caught a solid 26 incher on the way back as well, but forgot to take a picture of it.![[Image: sad.gif]](http://www.bigfishtackle.com/images/gforum/sad.gif)
We'll be back out next weekend, hopfully to tangle with a few more hogs.
