[#0000FF]Love that stuff. I have been using 6# white on my light rods and 14# green on my catfish rods. Amazing castability, no memory, no stretch. Only thing I don't like is when you get the occasional tangle. Nasty.

I have been rigging by tying a small #10 crane swivel on the end of the Nonofil...with an improved clinch knot...with two wraps through the eye of the swivel before completing the knot. Never had one break or come undone yet. Then I use a leader of my fave Silver Thread Excalibur...tied off on the end of the small swivel.

I fish a lot of tandem (double) jig rigs...tied off to the bottom of the swivel with the Excalibur. I have never noticed any seeming turnoff for the fish, with the line and swivel close to the upper jig. In fact, I often catch more fish on the upper jig...closest to the swivel and line connection...than on the lower one.

Also, I "topshot" the Nanofil...using only about 75 yards of the super stuff (expensive) on top of a spool filler line of mono about 2# heavier than the rating of the Nanofil. I have used both a double uni knot and a regular blood knot for joining the lines and both seem to work well. The only semi problem is that the super small diameter of the Nanofil requires that you cinch up the knot slowly and carefully and that you lubricate it to prevent bunching up or weak knots.

Interesting stuff to work with but the increased distance in casting and the added feel when "touch" fishing makes any potential downsides (cost) well worth the investment and the effort.

Not to contradict Tube Dude, but I've had nothing but horrible experiences with nanofil. I fish braid on every spinning rod I own and I've tried most brands. If you are tying directly to a swivel or lure it really is great, but if you are topshotting like you mentioned, it's ability to hold a knot is dreadful.

Of course it's all in how you fish and tie your knots.

I have been using it for a year or so, both ice fishing and during the summer. I love it, casts great and perfect for vertical jigging winter or summer. I do use a small snap swivel when I use it. I first saw it being used a year or so ago on John Gillespie's Waters and Woods show on Sat. mornings, He is a big fan also of the Vibrado jigging spoons as well as the Flicker Shads, I love them both. It's my favorite line now. The stuff is incredible. I like the camo-green though. The only place I've found it is Scheels.
A Polamer knot tied directly to the jig works great for me.
It's great for throwing light jigs. Zero stretch, zero memory, and incredible castability and strength vs. diameter. Pretty expensive, but it lasts about 10 times as long as conventional mono.

I love it as well!! Castability is unreal! For those doing direct line to line and having problems, I think the key is like tubedude said. Take your time when cinching it all down making sure its all uniform and all should be well. I personally use the crazy alberto with 8 wraps each way and 90% of my break offs are at the lure or in a bad spot in the line from not checking abrasion enough, not the line to line...

[#0000FF]When you come over to pick up your "U-Rigs" I'll show you how I rig that tandem. Quick knot with two different lengths of leader. Using the swivel makes life easier.

On TubeDude's recommendation, I just purchased 1,500 yards (my idea to purchase a large spool), so I sure hope that I enjoy using it.
