Slight chance I can hit starvation this friday or saturday.
Weather looks fantastic and may be the last really good temp days (hope not!).
Anyone been there recently that wouldn't mind sharing their report?
Goals are:
1. Catch a few eyes.
2. Catch some keeper perch.
3. Accidentally catch some bows while trying to reach goals 1 and 2.

[#0000FF]I too was codgertatin' on hitting Starvy on Friday. Weather forecast is good. Fishing forecast...not so much. Lots of rainbows but just about zero on both perch and eyes the last week or so. Water temps dropping and so are the fish...into deeper water. Have heard of them being seen on sonar up to 80 feet deep already. But no biters.
I'm flipping a coin between Deer Creek and Jordy. Just as much chance at perch and trout as the long drive further east. Also a chance for walleye in DC. I have caught them this time of year the last couple of years.

I got beat up pretty good at Jordanelle last week. Hooked a couple bows and smallies while prospecting for perch.
Was even so desperate in my perch search I bb'd with crawler harnesses to locate them. Bad idea. I think the water level is up an inch or two due to all the hardware I 'donated' to the underwater forest.
Deer Creek is always an option due to fond memories up there with grandpa but I feel guilty going to DC on a full day off with such incredible weather.
I have an idea, let's just go to Devils Lake for jumbo perch or LOTW for a walleye dinner!

Head to Knight's Hollow or under the bridge and fish for the big 'bows. So much fun. Perhaps you'll have to drag up a perch or walleye in the mix, but it's worth suffering through the lower species to catch those nice trout!

Was there Tuesday and fishing was good--we reached your goals. Usual spots with eyes around 40 feet. Got several nice perch and a couple Starvy Steelies along with a couple of eye limits--few nice ones but most fairly small. Jigs, plastics and crawlers slow on the bottom and sometimes five feet up. Mostly fished dam side but got a few at RG. If you can find em you can catch em but you have to look around. Hit throughout the day and for the most part the bite was very light. Started at around 8:30 and finished at 4. Wind was very cooperative. Good luck!

[#0000FF]Yes indeedy. Got family and friends in western Idaho that keep sending pics and reminding me how big those perchies are.
Nice pics. Good reasons for going back. If those perch were any bigger you'd be using those big spinners for them.
