Broken pole tips

Anyone have any good ideas or pics for me to mount my poles to my sled? Last year I broke way to many pole tips.

I got bracket from the hardware store that is made to hold brooms and mops on a wall.
4 or 5 Spring steel clips on a bracket that screws to the back of your sled. It worked fine but I wound up keeping my rods in an ice rod case instead.

You can try PVC pipe Use a saw or dremel to cut a slit down the side so the reel foot slides down then attach to your sled.

Install one of Berkeley's 6-pack rod holders inside the back. Only way to go.

$12 or so. Have had mine for many a winter season. Still in great shape. Width is 12", and mounting screw-holes are at about 13" apart.

I don't have a picture handy, but I slapped a board and some PVC holders to a rubbermade tub. Fits well in the sled. But for travel I mostly tuck them into carry bags.
But while out on the ice, I enjoy the easy access, switching up.

I also have some mesh wrap/sleeves that'll cover a rod, and lure.

I have one similar to Perchinski, only mounted on the outside rear of the sled. I use a short bungee cord stretched over the reels to keep them from bouncing out of the rod holder.

1.5 or 2 inch pvc pipe, almost as long as my sled, bolted to the sled horizontally along the side rail. 1.25 holes drilled vertically to receive rod handles (hole saw works best) . Covered with a length of pipe insulation to cushion the rods.

This is how I opted to mount rods to my ice sled. Just a bunch of PVC tee's and a couple elbows with threaded end fittings secured with jam nuts on the inside. I went this route because I prefer to travel with a cover and that's simply not an option with your rod holders placed on the inside of your sled. You'll also lose a lot of storage space if you mount on the inside.I pull my sled with four wheelers or snowmobiles so having a permanently mounted bungee cord to secure rods is also a must for this kind of application.
