I'm thinking about going to Henry's for a couple of days next week. I was wondering if anybody from that area could give me some advice on were you get weather reports? Is there a website that seems to be the most accurate? I don't want to drive from Nampa if It's not going to be fishable weather. Any help would be great thanks.

It's pretty tough to get a good long range forecast for this area. Just today I tried fishing there and it was a ground blizzard with 25+ mph winds, back down in Island Park, I fished the reservoir, and it was a perfect day. You can get real time information by looking at the Idaho DOT webcam at Henry's lake. It will display the current temp and wind, precip, etc. I look at it multiple times a day, here is the link:

Yea, I know. I have had the same experience at Henry's. Looks good than BAM. I usually look at weather channel or accuweather but I'm just trying to find something more local that you all use. Thanks for your help.

You can also use the MyRadar app (they have it for iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone). Watch for precipitation coming in.

And a new one that is kinda cool but probably not very useful shows wind patterns across the whole globe.

This year has had the worst weather I have ever seen at Henry's . I normally would only fish Henry's untill it closes . Over half of the days since it has had safe ice the wind has blown over 25 miles per hour . So we have been fishing Island Park instead . Hope it is better the last week . I will bring my camper home on the 5 of January , and start fishing Mackay , PalaSades , Twin Lakes , Chesterfield , Devils Creek , Deep Creek and Bear Lake if it gets safe ice .
