Welcome to the site TCC, nice collection of rods and reels. What fish do you normally target?

Nice, is that what the trolling rods are for, stripers? Or do you troll for cats too?

I don't have a boat so I don't troll the line counters are for distance measurement so I get the exact distance every time for casting.

I've never heard of anyone using line counter reels like that, what is the most distance you have made and how much weight do you use when casting?

It depends on the water conditions really if the waters low and fast I usually cast 6 ounces 100 to 150 yards if the water is high and slow three to four ounces at 150 to 160 yards and it depends on where I finish.

Wow, that is some long casting. I guess you must use a long pole to make cast that far. FYI, here is a link to our Freshwater fishing board

We also have state boards where you can post fishing reports and pics.

Hey TCC, welcome to BFT! Nice rod setup there. Wow, 150-160 with those baitcasters. That's a good distance.
