(I haven't posted in forever, so this may seem a little random. Just looking for some sympathy that my non-fishing friends cannot give...perhaps.)
I had my appendix out last week and am severly limited in the amount of physical activity I can do for as long as 6 weeks, lest I tear something. Fishing is out for a while. [frown]
I'm back up and working now, but the warm-ish weather is KILLING me. Looks like high 40's in the Park City area again this weekend. It's funny that I get so exicted to see that it's going to be well above freezing!! People think I am crazy.
I'd actually been having a stellar winter fishing run. Been out at least once almost every week and had some really excellent days for the most part. I feel like this year I've really dialed in my ties and presentation for midges. There have been some excellent hatches lately and I've learned to time my trips almost perfectly to be on the water just as they are starting.
Ahhhhhhh. It was a beautiful thing.
I cannot tell you how much I've loved the dry fly action. I won't be out for a few weeks.. so I suppose I can give away some info so that someone else can enjoy, if I can't !! ---
Griffiths and Ashers #18-20 with some sort of little pupa (bling, disco, unweighted zebra, etc) as a dropper in the film has been money. Tiny CDC midges if they're taking the single adults. Of course all with a long leader and 7X tippet.
Hope I'm back on the water in time for a few blue wing hatches!
