I tried fishing the weber for four hours or so with no luck. I fished the henefer area and tried a bunch of different flies. Is anyone else having luck there or is it just me? Anyway, I can't stand the smell of skunk so i headed over to see what east canyon looked like. There was a lot of open water and quite a few others fishing. Other people were pulling out some real healthy looking rainbows using worms and powerbait. I ended up catching two right where the creek was running in at the east end using some streamers. Even though they weren't very long, they were sure fat and put up quite the fight on my 4 wt rod.

There was definitely enough open water for one ( ill upload a pic). It got a bit difficult to get my fly out very far once the winds picked up so a tube would be helpful for me maybe when it gets a little warmer. Although, the wind blew the floating ice sheet my way and completely covered the whole area I was fishing pretty quickly so be sure to not get crashed into haha.

Got up there at 100 today and fished the same spot and the shore along the westside. Didnt get any hits, left at 4 and stopped on the way and fished a little cove that had just a little open water and ended up getting one small bow on a streamer. It was pretty warm around 65 but pretty brezze. Didnt see anyone the rest of the day though, just wish the fishing was better.

Hmm well at least you got the one. It was fairly slow for me as well with only the two hits in the 4 1/2 hours I was there. There was quite a bit of surface action so at least I knew there were fish around. The guy a little ways down from me pulled 10 or so out using rainbow powerbait so I guess that's the way to go.

Tried the weber again today for a few hours and had a little more luck. I threw a few different flies at them but they seemed to be into the black and red chironomid. Ended up with three browns and two whities.
