New fish pond plan for Pocatello

Wellness Complex north of the Bannock Co Fairgrounds in Pocatello will include a 6.35 acre fishing res. that will be stocked with both rainbows and kokenee.

Sweet, it will be within walking distance. I hear kokes are good for smoking.

I think that they start this spring and plan on being done by Fall 2015.

The pond will be fairly deep for such a small one. They think about 35 ft. Thus the kokanee. It will also include a small stream that will help aerate the well water. The water from the pond will then be used to irrigate the grounds with.

thanks for the update.....looks like a great place for kids to get into some great fishing...i wonder if they'll restrict it to bank only fishing.

You could probably call the F&G in Pocatello and find out what they plan on for regulations on it.
