Well we went too our first tourney of the year at Potholes reservoir last Sat., was a great shoot, well worth the 6 hr. drive, my partner and I ended with 5 th place out of 33 boats, couldn't tell number of people, some boats had 4 and like ours we only shoot 2, paid for the gas anyway, just thought I would share, if any of you are interested Idaho, OR, Wash., Utah all have Bowfishing associations, so look them up, sticking carp is addicting,

Lots of carp over here at Blackfoot, Alexander, and Oneida reservoirs. Come and get as many as you want, and you don't even have to drive to Washington to do it! I would love to see more carp tournaments over here. Thinning the herd would be a good thing.

There is a carp tournament on the Blackfoot reservoir. I want to say its sometime in early June. We stay on the Blackfoot reservoir all summer long and enjoy the show with all the carp hunters up there.

There is also a fly fishing tournament for carp on Blackfoot. I think it is sometime in mid May.

A bunch of carp all over.... even carping takes money thou... We have 8 on my schedule, American Falls is the weekend of May 17, Homedale the following, and the next is Brownlee, so May is busy, June has 2, July has 2, Aug has 2 than into bow season than back too ice fishing, I'm not sure how many more carp shoots all the guys can handle... Oh and yes there is a carp tourney at Blackfoot... Problem with some of the places it is not family/group friendly... Same as the Bass tourneys, but we have too dispose of the carp ..... If I could post some links too other sites I would, but I can't... They get deleted...

The Blackfoot Reservoir Tournament "Carp Classic X - Burning Carp" will be held Friday and Saturday, May 16th and 17th 2014. Not sure on the entry fees etc. I'm sure if you give Jimmy's All Season Angler in Idaho Falls a call they would have more info. I believe they also have a website as well. Ha thats the rod/reel tourney... this is the bowfishing one: BLACKFOOT SMACKDOWN~JUNE 21TH-22ND~BLACKFOOT RES.~HENRY, this is an official tourney, May 17-18 is American Falls reservoir... Haven't heard of the one your talking about,
