Anyone know if it's ok to camp tied up to shore the night before the opener? Seems like a better idea than fighting the crowd trying to launch...

No rules against it. I used to launch and run across to the pasture by the cliffs. Only a problem is it's windy.

Thanks! Sounds like where we camped last year-we had to re-tie as the wind/storm tried its best to send us north. I think that's my plan since it looks like we might have good weather.

If the wind is a problem , you could go up the outlet towards the dam . After the second corner it don't matter what direction the wind is blowing from . You will be protected .
