I just bought my oldest son a fly rod/reel combo. I would like to take him somewhere this weekend. Has anyone had any luck with dries on small streams, or rivers lately? Any help would be appreciated.

Try a #16 Elk Hair Caddis. Easy to see and seems they will hit that any time of the year.
