Fished east canyon for bass monday, scouted beds wednesday, and fished the small tournament on thursday. Monday, both motors were acting up and had to row around the ramp area. Landed 7 nice bass measuring 14-18" range in 3 hours. Slow dragged a tube on the bottom. 2 were the biggest ive ever caught. Most caught on beds, some hit on the way down casting blind. Snapped off a huge one at the boat. Bigger than the 18" i caught. No bs.. Took my girlfriend and the dog out wed to look for more beds and areas to fish for the tourny. Mostly cruised around and left the fish on there beds. I did let her cast into a bed and catch a nice 16" smallie. The wind picked up, got frustrated and had to leave.. Showed up for the tourny. Fished with 2 guys. Didnt get the best casts at the fish in the back of the boat but still landed 7 in the 12-15" range. Got maybe 10 minutes to fish the spots i scouted. Didnt land any of the pigs i got into mon. Overall, bass fishing has been great. Im sure they all have sore jaws and ripped lips after thursday but they might still bite. Couldn't find my camera so didnt get any usable picture to post. Go look for yourself. The beds arent hard to find and the water is very clear.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like next week or the following week I shall be hitting it on my pontoon or float tube. Did you hit the big cove area before the boat ramp by a chance???

Nice report thanks for sharing it with us. Did you by chance notice what the water temp was? I'm thinking the crappie should be spawning there soon.

Not surprising. EC was the best spot for bass that I could find last year. Had several trips that were the best topwater bite of the year, and they crushed them all day long -- not just early and late. EC is fantastic.

Tyedyetwins- I actually tried to stop by but for some reason i couldnt find your house. I thought the trout mailbox would have gave it away. Utah addresses confuse me. But yes i sent you the little box with some flies in it to sweeten up the pot a little for the contest. I just need to put down the spinning and trolling rods and go out with the fly rod for once.

Water temp started the day at 55 degrees ended around 58. That was after that little cold front so it might be a little warmer now. I actually saw one crappie sitting on a bed. Could have been stealing eggs but looked to be posted on that spot.
