Flaming Gorge!

Just read in Bassmaster Magazine Flaming Gorge was Highlighted as #85 in the top 100 bass fishing lakes in the State! Thought it was cool to be recognized for what our state does to help produce such awesome fisheries.

May is bass fishing season! Time to go out and catch some!

I have never fish for bass. I think I will try them if the Koke fishing is slow.
So I just need to find out where the best place to look for them.

It used to be alot better, its gotten slower ever since the burbot made their presence! !

Throw tube jigs along the bank at every rockslide, or throw Clouser Minnows with fly rod, kill em.

Yup. I wrote a piece for Bassmaster (June 1993, pg 75) about the fabulous smallmouth fishing there and I have to confess that I haven't fished it since then. (Geez, 21 years ago?!)

That was one of only a handful of fishing stories I ever did compared to nearly a hundred shooting articles. So, a trophy? Nah.
