Johnson Res. Report
#1
We went on our annual bass/bluegill memorial weekend trip this last weekend. We caught hundreds of bluegill. Most of them were caught on white sponge spiders. Due to the fact that we caught hundreds of bluegill I didn't spend much time bass fishing. However my son did catch a few bass on pumpkinseed curly tail Texas rig. Did I mention I spent a lot of time unhooking bluegill Smile

It was really great and there really is no better way to get kids excited about fly fishing.

I did catch one bass on a leech and I had one really ambitious bluegill eat a big cheeky mouse.

Thanks for the report, I was going to go here before reading your report, and reading it just got me super excited. I took my 2 boys and we went yesterday. They had an absolute blast of a fun time. Non stop bluegill action all day, my youngest caught his first two rainbow trout, and his first largemouth bass. We also saw a Tiger Muskie, so there is at least one left in there.
