Gorge report
#1
We hit the gorge for a few hours on Friday. Unfortunately we didn't get on the water until about 10:00 AM. We fished by sheep creek and hideout, trolled 1.8 mph gps speed, pulled rocky mtn tackle flashers, silver with pink stripe running through it (forgot the name) and watermelon colored squids and e Kokanee killers. Fishing is not fast, we put six Kokanee in the boat, missed a few more (my five year old does her best, but her reeling them in will lose a lot more than usual, not that I care, best thing in the world is watching her reel them in). I did mark a lot of Macs, dropped the riggers through them and picked one up immediately, lost it at the boat (maybe a 2lb fish, little guy). We were after dinner so we raised the riggers to 25 ft as we marked an occasional fish at that depth. The fish didn't appear to be schooled up, had one double (which was a school, only one we marked) other than that we never caught two fish at the same spot. Headed back to the trailer around 1:30 PM. It was an incredible day on the water, even if the catching wasn't that great. The weather was amazing, water was glass the whole time we were out there.

Thanks foe the report.
We had planned to fish the Gorge in July but the Camperworld Park up there is closed right now.
We may give Strawberry a try.

There is a lot of campgrounds up there. Fireman's Memorial is real close to camper world. Lucerne, well way too many to list.
