Trial, Lilly, Teapot and Lost are completely ice free. We went to Trial yesterday and my girlfriend landed 19 on a Gulp Minnow while I only managed 5 on various buggers and streamers with probably 4 or 5 times more hits and misses than that! This was all in a 1.5 hour time span.

we've been getting the smallies at pineview on soft plastics in the shallows , it was much slower yesterday than previous weeks. could of been due to the crazy winds or they could be sliding out deeper after spawning , we only caught some smaller males yesterday -

Tigers didn' t show themselves at all - or if they did we couldnt see them in the heavy waves .

get out there early , the power squardron was in full effect

Is the crappie starting to spawn at least?

we didn't see any crappie this time out - been seeing some up in the NE corner , not sure about the status of the spawn

It was about 65° when we were up there. Bald Mountain still has snow and the "Notch" looked like it was starting to clear up. Sorry I can't provide more details.

We caught a few just to say we did, but were focused more on tigers. The bigger crappie were spawning a little deeper then the dinks in real shallow. I did catch one tiger and lost another one. The smallies we caught were hanging out a little deeper. We didn't see one smallie on a bed all day so I think their done.

Well man I had fun time with the bass while you were after the crappie. Once a year for the past 2 years we went camping to pineview around this time. I can't complain about a free camping trip up there.

I got a few spots in my mind for crappie if water level is high enough in the area's the produced some nice bass and crappie in the past.

I went up Sunday and it was only 45 degrees and snowed on us a little. Trial had a big snow drift across the road to the parking lot. The road to Washington has cones across and signs indicating it is closed. Wall was still frozen but most of the others were wide open. Snow is very patchy but where it still exists is deep, up to six feet. Fishing was good for small hold over planters.

The bigger crappie were spawingin just out from the smaller crappie visible in the shallows. The bass were hanging in 6-14 feet of water, but fishing was pretty slow for bass.
