DC evening fishing 6/16
#1
I had my nephew and father-in-law in town and we decided Monday evening was Deer Creek time.

We launched at about 4:30PM and fished primarily for Trout until 8:30. We landed 20 Rainbows that averaged 16". We found some nice ones last evening. Three were over 18".

We also landed one 15" Walleye.

Most of the damage was done by fly poles but a down-rigged rapala and wedding ring chipped in.

Nice.. Love to hear that DC is producing. I am new to fishing DC this year and am still working on figuring it out. Would love to be as successful as you!

Hey Masterdaad, would you be willing to recommend flies? I have been successful on midge patterns fly casting, but I'm taking out some newbies up to DC and they'll be using spinning rods. thanks if you can.

Sure!... Black Wolly Buggers and Olive Mohairs have been the best producers for us.
