I can't thank you enough that was just too much fun! And not to correct you but, I'd hate to short change your track record.... I believe the score was 9-1. I had three, 3ft 4ft 6.5ft, wedding boy was 2-1 with a pair of 4-5 footers and the lost giant (it was 18 ft if it was an inch [] ) the bearded giant had 2 a 5 ft and a 5.5, then you brought in a 3 footer and my dad training wheeled a 5 footer. I just might have to see Gertrude again. She ain't the prettiest girl at the party but she sure knows how to have fun!

When I read "ft" before seeing the photos - thought it were a typo.
Those must be fun on light tackle! (joke)

Thanks for a great day dtayboyz. I know Luke (wedding boy) hasn't stopped talking about the great day of fishing I hope that he can get his mind back where it should be, his honeymoon. ... Also I like the (bearded giant) name maybe I should change my name on bft? The giant bearded ice hole has a nice ring to it.... it was also nice to meet and fish with a couple of utards (just kidding guys) thanks again Dale remember if you ever get down this way look me up.

Well, if you can take being a bearded giant icehole, then I can take being a Utard....lol! Great meeting you, and good luck to Luke tomorrow! hope his, errr, equipment has recovered from the extreme fishing techniques necessary to battle these beasts!

My Grandpa used to have a farm up in that country and he'd tell us stories of those river monsters. Don't think I fully believed them, said they would put a weaner pig on the hook on a cable and take the rear wheel off their model T and hook the cable to the rim then when they got a bite they would let out the clutch and winch the fish in. Had pictures of fish in a wagon with the head out the front and tail out the back, so 18' might be possible. That's a monster fish. Thanks for your post. Later J
