Ruff sex at Lincoln Beach
#1
Hit LB at 3 a.m. today and was surprised to see two cars there with guys fishing both the north and the south dikes. Gotta be something wrong with people that go fishing that early in the morning. Talked to a couple of guys on the south dike who were doing an "all nighter" and they had caught some good 4 -6 pound cats but not the big ones they were looking for.

I fished the mud flats toward Benjamin Slough and caught some nice cats -- all greenish brown with big white bellies. Decided to move in to a shallow rocky area and had good success catching some of the ugliest cats I have seen this year. They were all dark colored with bloody tails, pecs, dorsals, and noses. Also had big ugly gouges and scrapes on their sides... looked like their sex life was really rough on them. It didn't seem to effect their appetites cuz they were bitin' good today. Plan to hit them again tomorrow with a full crew if the wind subsides.

The best is definitely yet to come.

At least he didn't have pix, eh? 3am, never know what kinda unusual characters you might run into. Don't the launches ever close?

Frisky fish do show some S&M marks for the effort. How long did you fish for?

Oh I am in my twenties, I would have clicked on it anyway! Pretty sure I have seen it all by now.

As for closing the launches at night......don't give them the idea CYS!!!

TDT, fmrusmc, and Yote--

I must express my profound disappointment (disgust?) that you gentlemen would misinterpret the original subject matter of my post... on a FISHING forum. Terrible ...[Wink][Wink][Wink]

Anyways, went back out today and got some good ones until we ran out of carp meat... bummer. Got one pic of a battered cat but can't really see how banged up he is.

Crew wanted to go after carp so we did. They shoot 'em and I spend the morning filleting and cubing.... good supply now and the boys had a blast. Lots of carp clusters.

On the water early and off early to beat the power crowds. As TD noted the LB facility is a nice one. Always open and free launch, minimal fee to camp. Super nice restroom is immaculate. Cat fishin' remains good.

Hope to get out again a.m. -- the best is still coming.
