Quick Jordanelle Trip

Made a quick run up to Jordanelle tonight for smallmouth. Never really fished for smallmouth much other than a few times a DC. Started out around Hailstone and wasn't finding any area I loved so I blasted over to Rock Cliff. Only had a little over an hour left to fish. Caught 7 smallies and had countless other bites. Mostly just little guys but did manage one nice one (see attached). Biggest smallmouth for me to date. I was to have to be getting out of there as the last hour of daylight hit, think the fishing would have just picked up.

that's a decent fish! What were you catching them on?

It was a pretty nice fish, tough to get a good picture showing it's real size holding the fish and taking the picture.

I was dropshotting - crawdads, senkos, etc. This one was on a dropshot w/crawdad jig but caught them on about any jig I fished that way.
