Need advice on 63 desert elk

Pretty tough to hunt them out there with out permission for private property. I did see three cows on Sunday off the side of the highway just west of EBR1. Good binoculars, lots of water and time if you want to kill one sooner than later. Or you could just wait for the snow to fly.

I hunted 53 a whole week and seen one elk. I am heading up to 63 tomorrow. I will let ya know. I can come back after the snow flies but already have the time off now. Take care

Smacked a calf over by mud lake. Weird deal. No elk to be found and this little fella might not have made it thru the winter. I bet mom was shot or hit by a car. All by herself and really small stupid skinny and moving at 330 pm with no elk around to be found. I watched it for about 2 hrs. Was not acting right. Smallest elk I have ever seen. But worth the tag to take care of business...thoughts?
