Little Dell - 10/18
#1
Hey guys,
This is my first post here. I'm new to fishing and this forum has been a great in helping me get up to speed! Thanks!
I made it up to Little Dell for the first time today. Beautiful morning. I got there about 8:20 and the water was like glass and there were quite a few trout jumping. I ended up fishing on the other side of the lake across from the parking lot. I caught 3 ok sized cutthroat using a gold Blue Fox, size 2. I tried out a Strike King red eye shad for a little bit but didn't have any luck with it. I stayed for a couple of hours and the fish were still jumping when I left.

WOW, the lake is beautiful, too bad such a hike with kick boats.
Snaky looking Bonnys (not sure on spelling). But good job.
Heck of a walk wasn't it?

Yeah the fish were long and skinny today. The fish in the 4th picture I uploaded was the longest but the skinniest of the 3.
Definitely a walk to get to where I was but not too bad. The other people that were fishing this morning were fishing right in front of the parking lot.
Has anyone caught any brook trout there recently?

Those are some beautiful shots and thanks for making them the right size.

Hey FG:

With a little cart, maybe the 3 of us can walk your Drifter down to the water. [laugh] We can take turns rowing while the others fish. I do enjoy catching those wild Bonneville cutts.

Here's how they get their boats down to the water in Idaho -- of course it's not so much the getting down to LD as getting back up.
