Strawberry Algae
#1
Fished the meadows at Strawberry yesterday and the algae didn't seem to be quite as bad as the week before. Some areas were algae free. Fishing was good in the morning then slowed down. One rainbow and the rest all slot cutts.

What time slot were you in. Last trip I was there 9 to noon. Algae was minimal for first hour then it got really thick again.

Definitely starting to clean up a bit but still not clear. Surface temperature has dropped seven degrees in the last week so we're moving in the right direction. My boat was still a green mess though.

I fished the meadows today and it sounds like me and you almost had an identical day. 26 cutts and only one rainbow. Kind of slow but I guess you take the good with the bad. [Smile]

We were there from 8 to 11:30 when the wind came up. The bite turned off so we just decided to hang it up.

Do you know what water temp was? It was 51/52 last weekend, but with higher temps all week I wonder how much it dropped.

Surface temperature when I launched was 45 degrees. Didn't notice the temp when coming off.

On the drive into renegade air temperature was 23 degrees. Definitely fall fishing at the berry.[cool]
