Hold That Tiger
#1
Had a fun day on the undisclosed location wrestling Tigers today.

Caught a 26 inch beauty...... Yes, they are dead and headed for the smoker. No, I won't say where, as some people on this site have tizzy fits about that.

Nice Photoshop...KIDDING! Those are BIG tigers. As for saying where, you have 201 views at 7:35 p.m. 10/23/2014.
You really want to share with all those people?

Thanks for sharing the pictures to lust after.
This is the best time of the year to go after tigers. Heck this is the best time of the year to go after any trout.[Wink]

Well sheez - I was gonner give ya a hard time for having your finger in the gill, but if yer puttin them on the smoker... well....

don't know why the tizzy fits, but I get the concern.
FG, he've over a grand now. Nothing wrong with sharing, and nothing wrong with keeping your words mum.

Wouldn't mind knowing what you caught them on if you don't mind divulging. Haven't caught one of those kinda tigers yet, though I hear of several of my close waters holding them. Matter of time.

How do you find they compare as table fare to other trouts?

Camp chef was good to me today, and I've got a new cover and chip-tray for my rig. Got some slabs thawing, and planning a round of jerky - ground elk, beef, pork mix.

Nice Tigers CarDell, thanks for sharing the pics with us. I'm going to take a guess and say the big one must be over 5 lbs, maybe 6 lbs[:/]. What do you think it weighed?

[#484848]I'm not sure. The bigger one was just a smidge over 26 and had a 15-3/4" girth. It was one of those wide body jobs. Maybe I should invest in a scale.[/#484848]
[#484848][/#484848]
[#484848]I have been chasing tigers since the DWR started stocking them and this is my biggest, (so far).[/#484848]
[#484848][/#484848]
[#484848]The little one, which was not a bad fish, fought harder than any trout that I can recall recently. It was one those banger, jumpers, that just continually made those head shaking drives.[/#484848]

[#484848]The Doc's. are going to have me tied up for a while now, so I have to give it a rest, but I hope to be back after them in a few weeks.[/#484848]
