"Lookee what I got and you didn't. Neener neener. What? You want me to tell you anything about where and how? Forget that." [/#0000FF] [signature]

A little harsh, especially considering he hasn't logged back in since the question was asked.

[/#0000FF][/quote] Seriously Pat….over 5k views and you want him to report where, when and how?…You are great at posting reports and that is your prerogative others not so much and that is fine, especially when they are catching big fish that are hard to come by…just my .02 [signature]

[#0000FF]Look at past (infrequent) posts. More of the same.
I don't hold forth as the epitome of posters but I do put up more info...especially if it is a well known water capable of handling more pressure. Also, I do not expect anybody to divulge places, tactics or lures that have been developed over years of personal research. Nobody wants to create a lot of competition for themselves for their fave fishing spots and techniques. There are several folks who only post to show off fish pictures and brag. That's fine. We all like fish porn. And there are no rules on the board that require detailed info. That's fine too. I was just making a cynical old man remark. Harsh? Maybe. True? Maybe. If the OP is so sensitive he can't take a bit of ribbing that could be a personal problem. I'm sure he gets a lot more hostile stuff for his guiding practices. [/#0000FF] [signature]

WOW! on the Walleyes and SUPER WOW! on the 1640 views!
I totally understand the short and sweet! This "open" forum gets a lot, and I mean A LOT of traffic. A little help? or hanging that carrot in front of people that might not have even thought of fishing there. Gotta love the net....made it easy or lazy?.[ ![]() [signature]

[#0000FF]Sorry if I unjustly accused a fishing buddy. Believe me, I understand the nature of his profession and the reluctance to divulge too much. I wouldn't either. And logging back in to review responses and to answer questions is not part of the process. Also, I have a pretty good idea of where and how he fishes. And it is his right to keep all that a secret. And even if he told more, the average angler would not be able to duplicate his catches. My comment was based solely on the "hit and run" method of "brag posting". We all like to see the pics of the big fish we can only dream about, but the pics were not put up with any motive besides "See how good I am". I stand by that. That's what guides do. At least most of them. [/#0000FF] [signature]

Very nice can relate to time on water 55 hours well done. Those who want specifics on an open forum need to understand fish like these take time and effort. So hats off to you Sir and how we can appreciate your efforts. One shouldn't be called out for not sharing tactics, lures or locations. Now that's why some now longer post on catches...if one doesn't post all the nitty gritty details they get various very unwarranted labels. Become a student and teach yourself first. Yes some provide all the details totally fine...but some of us don't and won't. We want to share our pictures and basic story without being lambasted for not sharing all the nitty gritty.
Again congrats to OP for time on water and catching some awesome Eyes!!! [signature]

If the info one desires to see isn't posted maybe there's a reason. If one really wants to know the PM function works so ask via a PM. Then respect the info or lack of if the PM is answered or not answered. Again congrats to OP for time on water and catching some awesome Eyes!!![/quote] [signature] |
