and wanted to go test out my new toon' at the Berry on Sunday, where would you recommend I try? No motor on it so will just row out somewhere, Ladders? I have 4 wheel drive so getting around shouldn't be a big issue if there is snow. Thanks

Ive been hitting the Soldier Creek Side right off of the Highway. Theres a dirt road adjacent from the Restrooms which is near the turn off from the highway exit thats goes right down to the lake. I usually unload setup the toon and go park the SUV.

You may want to check the road conditions there, there's a post over in the regular fishing section saying the roads were snow covered and hard to travel near the Marina.

Which thread was saying it was hard to travel, did read that the boat ramp at Strawberry Marina might be a problem with a foot of snow. If the roads are snow packed shouldn't be anymore problem then a week ago when they were snow packed.

To Remo , if you can get to Bryants fork ,then Renegade would also be a good bet, just slide the pontoon boat down the boat ramp if too slick for the truck . We had no problems with the roads last week ,don't anticipate a problem now unless someone posts that the roads are not passable, and I have not heard that yet. Bryants's fork is a bit more off the main highway, but again no problem last week.

Sliding down an icy ramp is never a problem.

Up, however...

Not if you bring really long rope and attach it to your car [Tongue]

Icy ,yes, just snow probably not to much of an issue . Will have to see how things are going when we get there in a couple days. Hopefully not too much hassle with the roads.

The remark was partially Tongue in cheek, but could be an option other then driving the vehicle down the ramp.
