My dad and I fished below the dam this morning. It was a nice and toasty 14° when we got there. I landed 6 of 7 and he only got 1. Everything was caught on a tan sow bug. Only 1 fish was picture worthy.

looks like a nice fatty bow. Gloves are key. Its funny when you forget them and you get to the point where your fingers dont work and try to use your knuckles. By the time you get back to the car you cant even turn the key to start it, that is after you manage to unlock the door and open it.

I appreciate your help! I'm waiting for the 20"+ bow one day. I know they're lurking in there somewhere.

Those 20in fish are in there. I know of one rainbow that I have caught multiple times. You just need to weed through some smaller fish to find the bigger ones IMO.

One of my buddies has pulled a few out this summer. Since the weather has gotten colder I haven't seen a decent one come out yet. Feels like they went into hibernation or something.

It's also possible that in the summer there are high amounts of anglers and lots of the bigger fish have been caught. They could be more careful and selective of what they are eating. But this is just a hypothesis. Maybe Flygoddess or another senior member would know how accurate what I am saying is. Like I said, it's just a guess.

Well the regs are 2 under 15" I think. I hope they're not taking any bigger. I've just noticed as soon as that moss starts to get ridiculous the average size of fish seems to go down. Just my 2 cents though

That size limit only applies to certain areas though. Even then there are those who are ignorant or feign ignorance of the size limits in the blue ribbon areas. I still wish the limits on browns would go up to four or six. Lots of browns in parts of the Provo and thinning the herd could help give other fish a chance to get some shoulders. Just my two cents.
