Joes valley?
#1
Now with the cold snap in place are there any ice reports for Joes Valley? I would like to head that way in a couple of weeks if possible. PM's welcome.

The marina cove was frozen solid on Sunday. There were patches of ice around the edges. The lake wasn't capped but with the cold weather it could be getting closer. As of as the wind hasn't ruined it, we have had a lot of wind today.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully it will be better in a week and a half.[Smile]
I am looking forward to visiting that puddle again soon.

Here is a link to the camera looking west from the dam. It looked like it was mostly covered in the area the camera covers.

Watch out for some areas up near the Seely Creek inlet. There are some springs up there so there may be some thin spots.

Good luck when you go.

Just checked the cam out and the time lapse for the last three hours shows a hole forming near the dam. Any idea what the ice thickness is near the first launch ramp just to the north of the dam?

I don't know what it might be but that end of the reservoir usually freezes up the soonest and doesn't have any springs to cause problems for ice anglers.

Good luck and be careful when you decide to go.
