Took Dad out to Strawberry Tuesday morning. We arrived at CCE at 7:15. We drilled holes and looked for fish on the way out and finally found some in 23' of water. The fishing was slow, Dad didn't get a bite and I iced 1 and broke 3 off at the mouth of the hole. We used rat finkis, tube jigs and ice flies; we tipped them with either meal worms or wax worms. The ice was 7" thick if interested.

Heading there Friday with a guy I just introduced to the sport. Have the rigs all set for tubes in white, pink and orange. Out of the rigs you used, what got the best action? Either hitting chicken creek or the ladders and wanna know what was getting looks inhopes of him getting a good fish and really getting into ice fishing. Same work schedule so less solo runs haha

I was up at Strawberry also on Tuesday. I honestly think that it was one of those Days. The fish are there, but not biting. I landed 2 and had another 2 lost at the hole. The week before that I was in the same area and did fantastic. So I felt your pain.

I had the most bites on green and pink ratfinkis; but I did get a hit on a green paddlebug.

Awesome I will give them a try, have tubes set up right now, thanks for the advice, use a flasher above the rigs to draw them in or just the jig itself
