Fish lake ???
#1
I'm heading down south to fish lake tomorrow and curious does anyone know the ice condition lately especially where it's 70-100 ft? For sure my friend and I will be catching some perch when we first get there but then later I'm thinking of hitting deeper water to find some big bow or maybe a laker.

Call Fish Lake Resorts, they keep an eye on ice conditions, as close as anyone can.

Very sorry Flyfishinglover, glad you posted the correct one.

Were they able to tell you the ice thickness out toward the center of the lake?

And what did you learn when you called?

You shouldn't have much of an issue with ice over the deep water. I fished the north end last weekend, crossed the glassy ice - on foot of course - and it was 5". I suspect you should see 5-7" across the lake as a minimum, but I could be wrong. Just venture with caution.

Ice was safe but laker fishing was SLOOOW!

Good Luck!

Ya fishing was a little slow compairing to last year but I will have my report and video up in a few days. I got home 6 or 7 pm then had to help my dad and just got home right now 11:51 pm so it will take some time to edit the video and picture but hope you guys will like it [Wink]. Probably will get started working on it tomorrow night and have it up by Saturday hopefully.

Is BigFishTackle the first thing you did when you walked in the door at home?!

Sometimes I have to wonder what the most important thing is:
A. going fishing (ie: spending time outdoors)
or
B. posting the report

(I hope that you said "hello" to your significant other upon arriving home, and that it wasn't "hello, I need to go log in to BFT...")

I check my emails everyday when I get back home because I never know if my manager send me an important message that I have to know before going to work the next day for specific updates. He usually leave the play a few hrs earlier then I do.

A big time but option b is actually giving back to the people who helped me out in the past years lol.

that is hilarious coming from you, who posts smartass or overly informative and highly opinionated posts on every report south of I70. One could ask you the same question.
