Just curious, if anyone has been to starvation lately,
Could give me an ice report ( thickness and quality of ice )
Is there enough ice, to support an ATV ?
Thanks in advance for any help. 😊

I wouldn't trust taking wheels on any ice this year. Even walking on this year's ice is an adventure, on almost any lower elevation water.

For what it's worth, I just got an email from the Vernal DWR and they told me the ice has deteriorated enough that they are cancelling the Starvation tournament for Feb. 7. Best to call the State Park for further info.

We fished Starvy earlier in the week. The ice was 6in or so where we fished but getting out was a challenge. We went around some iffy looking places, lots of puddles on the ice. I think it would be foolish to take a machine out. My opinion.

Fished it today, awesome day on the ice. Rough getting on the ice, but it was a solid eight inches once we were on it. Great day !

The ice was about 8 inches on the lake too, however the shoreline was a bit of open water in the morning and even more later in the day. if the warm weather continues, would not be surprised that this week could be the last week to make it out on the ice.. If going, tread lightly by shore..
