We arrived at Jordanelle around 8:00 am Friday and pretty much had the lake to ourselves. We were targeting Browns but would be happy with anything, not knowing the fishing conditions. We started trolling on the Northeast end in about 90 feet of water. We dropped four lines between 20 and 45 feet down off the riggers, using rapalas with no success. We switched lures up and started using darker colors tipped with meal worms and started catching fish. We were catching all Browns and most of them were between 17-20". We had 2 much larger that broke off about 20 yards out. The fishing was hot from about 9:00am to 3:00pm when the bite stopped. The water temp was about 39 degrees and although we caught fish throught the lake, most of them were suspended in the 20-60' range out from the points.

We started out trolling the shorelines but then we focused more on the rise and fall just off the points. That's were the majority of the fish were stacked. We did catch several in the open water too, they were just suspended deep. They must be hungry though, we were watching them on the electronics come up 10-15' to take our lures! I can't wait to get back after them this weekend!!!

The planter rainbows are just a little too big for them to eat.
