Cutts on the dry

Made it out for some cutthroat fishing on a spring creek on Sunday and Tuesday. Did pretty well, got everything on dries, and they were just absolutely gorgeous fish.

They smacked anything that floated, really, which was awesome. As long as the presentation was right they'd slurp it right up.

I did see some larger fish building a redd in the flatter section of this little creek. A bit early to see redds being built, but I guess it's to be expected with this warmer weather.

Get out and find some fish, y'all. The fishing is pretty spectacular right now.

Mostly midges, did see a couple BWOs buzzing around.

It's higher elevation, so it'll be a while until the bigger spring bugs start appearing.
