Henry's Lake
#1
Well headed up to Henry's on sunday, fished all day Monday and only landed two fish. Trolling with a flasher and then a wooly bugger, had a few hits but nothing great. Has the fishing been slow this year or is it just me?

I haven't been up there this year but I have heard some pretty decent reports from reliable people. I have also heard some poor reports, so maybe it is just hit or miss depending on where you were fishing.

Its pretty hit or miss. Group we know did well Saturday morning early but only on one type of rig. Everything else they tried was a skunk. We fished until we got tired of the wind sat and never touched a fish and we used a ton of methods that we have used to catch fish up there and hit squat. It's henry's and shes a fickle woman some times.

I spent opening weekend there and got my ass handed to me, so did everyone else that we talked to, caught two fish in 2.5 days of fishing gnarly wind with a fly rod.

My wife and I fished the state park with a whole bunch of other people. Not a lot of catching going on for the most part, but we ended with over 100 fish to hand. Nothing over 22". Seemed like a pretty normal opener to me with the exception of there being less fish in shallow.

Nice Shane,

I can't decide between Henrys and my bluegill spots for tomorrow. I know strange choice, but I really love both places and the bluegill spot is more kid friendly.
