Lake Trout on the Fly

Fish Lake isn't known as a major stillwater destination, but we've always had a blast. This is our third trip the week after Memorial Day, when you have the lake to yourself, and lots of peace and quiet.

Our favorite thing about Fish Lake is you never know what you'll catch. We scored dozens of bows, a brown, a couple of splake, and this nice Mac Suz caught on a Type VII with a rainbow trout streamer. A great fighter and lots of fun.

Awesome. I haven't been able to catch a laker on a fly yet. Sounds like a great trip.
