Made the trip with a friend for some bass catching action. Started about 7AM out of Goose Pond. Could not find anything and it was hot enough to boil the water. Found one fish up river about 4.5 on a worm. Headed in to rest and hopefully back out before dark to catch an evening bite. Planned on fishing a spot near honeycomb with spinnerbaits but we ran out to the river and found a good looking place and went to work. Second cast bang nice fish about 4lb on a 10" plum power worm. It was on from there. Continued to work the area and the grass line with worms and jigs and loaded the boat. Biggest was just under 8lb and then lots of 4-6lb fish. Caught them up until about 1AM and then the bite shut down. It was the best night fishing trip for me ever. I've never used a net that much in all my life! Not used to that type of quality here in KY but we had a ball. Water temp was 85-88 but they were hungry!!! Can't wait to come back and see if they are still there!
