Starvy Walleyes???
#1
I'm Going to starvation next weekend, and looking for best techniques to catch some Walleye. Does Willard Bay ways of catching them Translate to Starvation? Trolling RatL Traps? Rapalas? Jigs? Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!

Was out there in early June and and we picked up 3 on trolling. Verticle jigging with a jig head and crawler seemed much faster action though in the river arm right up shallow enough to where the boat is almost touching the bank. Tight lines

I fished Starvation on Tuesday and Wednesday when the W**D would allow any fishing at all. It was slow for walleye. I caught five smaller 'eyes in about 4 hours of fishing. I was using bottom bouncers with a nightcrawler. I fished in the Saleratus and Knight Hollow areas in about 20 to 24 feet of water.

I saw several "swarms" of perch on my fish finder and each time I passed by I was getting many hits from the dink perch. I caught several perch that were about 6 inches. We should see some decent perch at Starvation again in about two years.

I trolled a little for the rainbows when it was too windy to fish for the walleye. I got four 17 to 19 inch 'bows for the smoker.

Mike..good to hear from you thought you had giver up fishing. The reports on Starvy haven't been too encouraging this summer. I keep trying to get over there, but some thing else always comes up. Hopefully Skid will get into them and share the info.

Forget Starvation for a while, let's hit the Gorge for Kokes.
