First ice for us this year
#1
We had a good weekend fished for 2 hours yesterday and 3 today with the wife , we let all of them go except for the big one my wife caught the people next to us wanted it. They were all planter brood stock but fun first ice trip. Got to play with my new ice auger and i love it. Beautiful sunset and Geese on the way home @)

top secret destination, or could you message it to me? I have an 11 year old I'd like to introduce to the ice, and my old reliable (horsethief) won't be fishing this year. either way- congrats on some nice fish!

You could try any of the local stocker ponds. Should be fish in all of them and they should be solid soon if not already. I'd guess you won't catch fish of that size in most of them, tho. But last year you could. Check the stocking reports for something with fish of size that is closer would be my first thought.
