Fished Chicken Cr East with the grandkids. Can't complain about the fish numbers or size. We were in 20 ft of water and caught most 6 to 8 feet below the ice. White paddle bugs were hot.

Road and parking lot were plowed and accessible even in a car. There is a good packed trail to walk on. Not sure if the packed part is wide enough for a side by side?
Ice was at least 6 inches and clear.
Some light snow on top of the ice made walking safe and easy.
Weather was nicer than in the valley.

thanks for the report Klam! Im headed up tomorrow to see what might come through a hole or two. Sounds like the weather is supposed to cooperate as well. Did you tip the paddlebugs with anything?

Use the udot traffic cams - they show the road conditions pretty well up to Strawberry

They weren't too bad last night. Some snow on the summit and actually more snow accumulation on the Heber side as I came down. Nevertheless, not really that bad.

However, there was also some fresh snow in the area overnight that could have changed things.

I was on the ice yesterday with my snowmobile and I saw someone else on the ice with their four wheeler. Good luck!
