Yuba Report

with all the cold weather we been having i thought i might go see if Yuba had safe ice.. got to painted rock about 9:00 in the morning.. found out we could drive a long way past the island and had a nice parking spot.. walked past the cliff's on the other side.. started looking for fish.. could not find water deeper then 15 feet so that was where we fished.. spent 5 hours looking at the finder seen some fish but not many
. got only one hit i missed it bad.. that was it for the 5 hours spent not really worth the 10 bucks to get in so might not be going back any time soon..

oh ice was 4 to 6 solid..

Disheartening to hear that it is that low. Also, not the catching report that I was hoping to hear. May need to rethink our plans for Saturday.

Dang, to see such low water. My usual haunts sound like they are high and dry. May not hit it this winter. Someone wake up the show gods. We need more water....[bob]

You are right, we need a lot of snow. It's to see Yuba in the condition it is in. I sure miss the big Perch days. Happy New Years!

Well there is not a lot to fish for in Yuba so i think we might have been after. pike, walleye, perch, or anything we could get to bite.. would have taken a carp just to liven things up.. lol really i did not see much on the finder all day.. and only one hit and miss in 5 hours.. not worth the 10 bucks to get in that's for sure... not saying i'll not go back.. just not to that spot... []
