Slow as usual lately. Ice is in great shape with about 3-4 inches of snow on it. Fish are shallow roaming around in 3-8 feet of water. Not really catching them that shallow right now. Usually catch them at 12' or so deep. Been trying out different parts of the lake. Seems the fish aren't going too far from shore. I certainly mark about 4x the qty of fish closer to shore.
Caught 2 while typing this on my phone. Maybe it will start picking up :-)
The fish I have landed so are are 9-14 inches. All rainbow caught on a very small white tube with a tiny jig head topped with a wax worm.

Is the ice good enough to drive the wheeler anywhere?

I haven't ventured out to the middle so I can't speak from experience but there are snowmobile tracks everywhere. I have taken the wheeler up and down the west side of the lake and it's been fine so far.
Only issue is the edges so I juice it on and off the ice as a precaution.

Awesome! Might see you on the ice. Usually rocking a red 4wheeled with a plow on it and hunkered down in a black frabill.

It's usually fine on that side. BUT getting back up can be tricky. I had to take two goes at it today it's getting a little slushy.

I was up there today. 1/16. We fished 10 feet of water on the south end using green tubes and paddle bugs. I caught about 35 and between the 4 of us we got close to 50. All rainbows. All but 2 were 9 to 12 inches with the 2 biggest around 18 inches. The bite died right around 2.

None for me either. Sounds like I should try the south end tomorrow morning :-).
If so I won't be on my wheeler so look for a black king cat and a cabelas black tent.
Great to hear a good report!

Went back this morning on the snowmobile and tried out the south end of the lake. What a difference. I think a lot of people are reading this site as well because there were about 100% more people that end of the lake today compared to yesterday and the day before.
I was marking a lot of fish in about 8' of water with me fishing about 20' deep. Set the lure at 8' and it was pretty short before the action started up.
Tried a dark green tube, but they were probably too big and I didn't have anything smaller. White tube with a 1/32oz head was again the trick. Tube got so much action the squids started to fall off.
Had to boogie for phone calls/work stuff early so I was only on the lake from 7-8:30.
Tiny fish as usual, didn't see anything big (or tagged) on the camera either.
