Fished Hyrum today from 7am to 1pm with my GF. Caught 40+ fish with probably 40 more missed bites! Caught all of them right off of the bottom in about 18' of water. We only left because she had to use the bathroom. [unimpressed] Right at the end of the day switched over to fishing right below the flasher and caught 6 fish in less than 5 minutes! We were fishing with a Swedish pimple with a green Ratfinkee below tipped with a wax worm.
Ice report: 8"-9" of ice with about 2' of snow on top. There was also 2" of slush between the ice and the snow.

Sounds like a great trip, thanks for the report. Is it getting pretty tough to pull a sled out with that much snow? Sounds like the conditions will be getting time for a Smitty sled. Thanks again. J

Yeah it was a huge pain to pull the sled. Luckily there are pretty well used trails across the ice from snowmobiles and what not but once you are off of those trails it really sucks!!!

Hey does a smitty really help that much? I've seen a lot of them out on the ice but never pulled one before.

I haven't used one either, I'm just trusting what others have told me. I know my jet sled sure pulls heavy now so I think it would have to be better than what I'm dragging lately. Let you know if I get one. Later J
